Bruce Campbell (Carolina Panthers)

Panthers acquired G/T Bruce Campbell from the Raiders in exchange for RB Mike Goodson.
A "workout warrior" during the 2010 Scouting Combine, Campbell was drafted by Al Davis two Aprils ago after running a 4.85 forty at 6-foot-6 3/8 and 314 pounds. He has freakish, 36 1/4-inch arms, but remains a major project going on age 24. Campbell never made a start in two seasons with the Raiders. He'll have to compete for a role as a backup, swing-type tackle in Carolina.

Antwan Applewhite (Carolina Panthers)

Antwan Applewhite contract Carolina Panthers...
Panthers re-signed DE/OLB Antwan Applewhite.
A favorite of coach Ron Rivera, Applewhite gets high marks for special teams prowess and locker room presence. He's also flashed pass rushing ability going back to his early career with the Chargers. Applewhite will be a backup in 2012 after recording 21 tackles and two sacks last season.

J.T. Brown (Tampa Bay Lightning)

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed college free agent J.T. Brown to a two-year contract.
"He has all the top characteristics we look for in a player, including high skill and compete levels," GM Steve Yzerman said. "We're glad he chose to play for the Lightning and we look forward to getting him in the lineup as quickly as possible." Brown notched 24 goals and added 23 assists in 39 games for the University of Minnesota-Duluth during his sophomore season in 2011-12. He is expected to join the Lightning later this week and will probably get into a game before the season ends

Antonio Garay (San Diego Chargers)

Chargers re-signed NT Antonio Garay to a two-year contract.
One of the league's top run-pluggers in 2010, Garay's effectiveness waned in his age-32 season. He's started 28 of 32 games the past two years after appearing in just 16 games from 2003-2009. The Chargers did not make it a priority to sign Garay early on because 2010 fifth-rounder Cam Thomas played well in a rotational role last year.

Donnie Jones (Houston Texans)

Texans agreed to terms with P Donnie Jones on a one-year contract.
Jones, who turns 32 before the season, spent the last five year punting for the Rams. His 2011 net average of 37.0 ranked 31st in the league and was the worst of Jones' tenure in St. Louis. Texans incumbent punter, Brett Hartmann, is coming off a torn ACL and facing a three-game suspension to open the year.

Anthony Hargrove (Green Bay Packers)

Packers agreed to terms with DL Anthony Hargrove, formerly of the Saints.
Hargrove, 28, has been primarily an interior pass rusher in recent seasons, but the Packers will likely give him a look as a right end in the role once filled by Cullen Jenkins. The Packers can't count on Mike Neal after a four-game PEDs suspension, and C.J. Wilson and Jarius Wynn are "just guys." Hargrove can get after the quarterback when his head is on straight. The Packers remain interested in DL Dave Tollefson, who is visiting on Thursday.
