Donnie Jones (Houston Texans)

Texans agreed to terms with P Donnie Jones on a one-year contract.
Jones, who turns 32 before the season, spent the last five year punting for the Rams. His 2011 net average of 37.0 ranked 31st in the league and was the worst of Jones' tenure in St. Louis. Texans incumbent punter, Brett Hartmann, is coming off a torn ACL and facing a three-game suspension to open the year.

Texans re-signed C Chris Myers to a four-year, $25 million contract.
Per Yahoo's Jason Cole, the deal includes $14 million guaranteed. Myers finished as the No. 1 center in Pro Football Focus' 2011 rankings, and helped anchor one of the league's best run-blocking units. Despite visits with several teams, Myers' preference was to return to Houston throughout free agency. As the premier zone-blocking center in the game today, Myers' return is good news for the fantasy values of Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

Eric Winston (Houston Texans)

Eric Winston contract extension, info...
Latest contract details:
Texans informed RT Eric Winston of his release.
The shocking move clears $5.5 million in base salary. Winston hasn't missed a start since his 2006 rookie season, and has been a key cog in the Texans' highly productive zone-blocking scheme. Despite the release, Winston won't have trouble exceeding what the Texans were going to pay him on an incredibly thin offensive tackle market. Only 28 years old, Winston should appeal to other zone-blocking clubs like the Redskins. Pro Football Focus graded Winston as a top-six right tackle last season. He was 11th overall in PFF's rankings.

Matt Leinart (Houston Texans)

Matt Leinart contract 2011 arizona cardinals, details, terms, houston...
Latest contract details:
Texans released QB Matt Leinart.
The move clears $1.75 million in salary. Leinart spent two seasons with the Texans, but only made it into two games. He became expendable following 2011 rookie T.J. Yates' late-season emergence as Matt Schaub's long-term backup. Leinart drew little interest from old college coach Pete Carroll in free agency last year. It might be time for him to take up another profession.
