Antonio Garay (San Diego Chargers)

Chargers re-signed NT Antonio Garay to a two-year contract.
One of the league's top run-pluggers in 2010, Garay's effectiveness waned in his age-32 season. He's started 28 of 32 games the past two years after appearing in just 16 games from 2003-2009. The Chargers did not make it a priority to sign Garay early on because 2010 fifth-rounder Cam Thomas played well in a rotational role last year.

Eddie Royal (San Diego Chargers)

Eddie Royal contract with the San Diego Chargers...
Latest contract details:
3/15/2012: Signed a three-year contract, $13.5 million contract. The deal includes $6 million in guarantees.

Contract:3 yr(s) / $13,500,000 Signing Bonus - Average Salary $4,500,000 End Year:2014 Free Agent:2015 / Unrestricted

Chargers agreed to terms with WR/KR Eddie Royal on a three-year, $13.5 million contract.
Royal drew initial interest from the Ravens and 49ers, but the final decision came down to the Bolts versus Redskins. Once players visit San Diego, they rarely get away. Able to play the slot and return punts, Royal is a nice complement to outside receivers and vertical threats Robert Meachem, Malcom Floyd, and Vincent Brown. He won't be draftable in fantasy leagues. It will be interesting to find out why Royal got away from the Redskins are multiple reports that he had signed early in free agency.

3/13/2012: Signed a four-year, $25.9 million contract. The deal contains $14 million guaranteed, including a $7.5 million signing bonus and all of Meachem's first two base salaries. 2012: $1.5 million, 2013-2014: $5 million, 2015: $6.5 million, 2016: Free Agent

Contract:4 yr(s) / $25,900,000 Signing Bonus - Average Salary $6,475,000 End Year:2015 Free Agent:2016 / Unrestricted

Chargers signed WR Robert Meachem to a four-year, $25.9 million contract.
So much for Meachem not making it out of Buffalo. The deal includes $14 million guaranteed. It's a huge contract for someone who was something of an underachiever during his four seasons in New Orleans. Meachem drew heavy interest from the get-go Tuesday, however, and is still viewed as a potential No. 1 receiver in some circles. That's what he'll have to be in San Diego after the Bolts lost Vincent Jackson to the Bucs. That, of course, bodes well for Meachem's fantasy value even though he's leaving the NFL's most prolific passing attack. He's a good bet to best his career-best line of 45/722/9 from 2009 next season.

Demorrio Williams (San Diego Chargers)

Latest contract details:
Chiefs released LB Demorrio Williams.
The move will reportedly save $1.7 million in cap space. According to Pro Football Focus, Williams played just 73 defensive snaps last season as a backup linebacker. Turning 31 in July, Williams will have to battle for a roster spot no matter where he lands.

The 31-year-old will stay in the AFC West as a backup to Takeo Spikes and Donald Butler in San Diego. Williams reportedly had interest from 5-6 teams, and chose the Chargers as his best shot at playing time.
