According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns weren't as interested in Kevin Kolb as most thought they were last year.
GM Tom Heckert had been Kolb's biggest cheerleader in Philadelphia, but he's apparently cooled on his former second-round pick's potential. Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot doesn't believe the Browns would push Colt McCoy aside for Kolb even if the Cardinals turn down Kolb's $7 million bonus next week.

The Arizona Republic believes the Cardinals can push the $8 million cap hit for potentially releasing Kevin Kolb into the 2013 season.
If the Cardinals opt to pay Kolb's $7 million bonus by March 17, he counts $10.5 million against the cap. If they decide instead to cut Kolb loose after hypothetically landing Peyton Manning, the Cardinals could utilize one of their two available exceptions to carry it over for one more year. That exception makes it easier to fit Manning under the cap if Arizona wins the sweepstakes.
